Friday 8/6/10

11am Golf Outing at Lawrence Country Club.  $75 per person will include prizes and an after golf mixer at Jeff Arensberg's house.  

6pm-? Meet and greet at The Yacht Club Sports Bar & Grill, 530 Wisconsin.  Casual dress, drinks and food on your own. 

Saturday 8/7/10  

*I know many of you would like to host your own events with friends and family from your high school groups or organizations.  If you plan to do this, please feel free to contact me with information and I can add it to updates.*

Tour of LHS (if there is enough interest in touring)

7pm-1am Abe & Jakes Landing, 8 East 6th Street.  Semi-casual dress.  Cash bar.  Yummy hot appetizers served late evening.  Music provided by Mike Clark. 

Sunday 8/8/10

11:30-3pm Family picnic at Holcom Park Shelter http://www.lawrenceks.org/lprd/parks/holcompark

                   Bring dish to share.  Soft drinks, cups, plates, etc, provided by class.

Registration cost is $35 dollars for classmates and $25 for guests if paid by July 1st.  Additional fee if paid at door.

(This covers all venues, appetizers, picnic supplies, mailing/postage/paper products/pictures etc. for reunion album)

Silent Auction

Wouldn't it be fun to be able to share your talents for a good cause?  If there is enough interest, a Silent Auction will take place on Saturday night at Abe & Jakes.

Original art created by a classmate, LHS memorabilia, Kansas/Lawrence memorabilia, gift baskets, or any fun or funny collectible item you choose. They would be displayed throughout evening.  Proceeds from the auction will be used to make a donation in our class name to good old LHS or help fund future reunions.

If anyone would be interested in chairing this particular portion of the evening I would love to hear from you as soon as possible.  This would be a great event but I know I cannot do it all on my own.

A block of rooms have been reserved at The Eldridge House http://www.eldridgehotel.com/

at $149.00 per night and at  SpringHill Suites http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/lwcks-springhill-suites-lawrence/  $124.00 per night. When you call ask for the block titled LHS Class of 1980.  Please reserve your room early as we have to release any rooms not yet reserved by July 6, 2010.
